Financial Intelligence and Investigation Bureau Project “AccFencers” Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Financing of Terrorism (AML / CFT) Slogan Design Competition

Objective

To enhance the community’s awareness of AML/ CFT.

Topic & Specification of Entries

To enhance the community’s and business sectors’ awareness of AML/ CFT and to encourage their joint efforts in combating money laundering and terrorist financing.

The slogan must be in both English AND Chinese, within 20 words/ characters for each of English and Chinese version.

Assessment and Judging Criteria

  • Relevancy to the theme (40%)
  • Content and structure (30%)
  • Creativity (30%)

Entry Requirements

Financial institutions including banks and Stored Value Facilities (“SVFs”) Licensees.  Each institution / entity may form more than one team and each team shall be comprised of no more than 5 members.

Important Dates

  1. Deadline for Submission - 24th October 2021
  2. Announcement of Top Three Finalists - Early November 2021
  3. Presentation of Awards - 24th November 2021

Awards

The competition will have a champion, a first runner-up and a second runner-up. A judging panel will shortlist the three most outstanding entries.  The shortlisted individuals/parties will be invited to present their design concept during the Financial Intelligence and Investigation Bureau "Project AccFencers" AML Month Kick-off cum Presentation Ceremony on 24th November 2021 and the final winner will be decided by live voting at the Ceremony. All other participating parties will also be presented with appreciation certificates in recognition of their contribution to anti-money laundering and counter-financing of terrorism.

The winning entry of the Champion will be published in AML/CFT publications, e.g. the Hong Kong Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing Risk Assessment Report.
